Programmes for teams
Our goal is to inspire you to translate new learning into meaningful improvement, informed by your WASP service evaluation.
We currently offer two training programmes for team development – Fundamentals in personalised care and Implementing shared decision making in personalised care.
Overview
The WASP Fundamentals in Personalised Care programme is for teams who are starting their personalised care journey. It will introduce you to each component of the personalised care model and get you thinking about how these apply to your service.
Each week we will focus on a different element of the Personalised Care Model and teams enrolling in this programme will have an opportunity to review their practice for all five elements by undertaking a service evaluation. Using service insights, teams are supported to identify and implement improvements using quality improvement methodology.
Pre-programme service evaluation
Allow 8-12 weeks to complete the WASP service evaluation to understand personalised care delivery within your service.
Programme length
12 WEEKS Contact time 8 X 1.5 hour online sessions
Plus mentoring from a WASP Facilitator
Self study and project implementation time
System change is more achievable when we work collaboratively. There is an expectation that teams will take time to reflect on their learning and discuss their projects between weekly training sessions.

Implementing Shared Decision Making in Personalised Care
Overview
This WASP programme is for teams who specifically want to focus on implementing or improving Shared Decision Making (SDM). During the programme, we take a deep dive into the what, why and how of SDM.
Teams enrolling on this programme will have an opportunity to review current SDM practice by undertaking a service evaluation. Using the insights generated through this process, teams are supported to identify and implement improvements in practice. Taught aspects of the programme focus on knowledge and skill development – providing teams with the capacity and capability to implement high quality SDM in practice.
